Meet Patricia

Patricia is a native speaker of Spanish from the charming state of Michoacan, Mexico. Born and raised in Mexico she is a wealth of linguistic and cultural knowledge. She began working with students in the California Educational System. She works extensively and relentlessly with students ensuring their academic growth and has been working with Manzanita Bilingual School for two years. She is the primary instructor for the Manzanita Bilingual Preschool.
Meet Arcelia

Arcelia is bilingual in both English and Spanish who was born and raised in the state of Oregon with parents that hail from Jalisco, Mexico. Arcelia’s parents shared their rich culture to their children which led them to become native Spanish speakers and first-generation college students. Arcelia studied Spanish at The University of Oregon and aspires to become a secondary Spanish teacher. Arcelia, a mother of two small children, wishes to carry her passion for child development into her role as an assistant instructor at the Manzanita Bilingual Preschool. Arcelia is looking forward to a successful school year where she will assist each student with their academic and bilingual language development.
Meet June

June is a born and raised Oregonian and currently working on learning and speaking Spanish. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics. With 5+ years of experience in childcare, she is the afternoon assistant instructor for the Manzanita Bilingual Preschool and Lena's administrative assistant for the Manzanita Bilingual School.
Meet Sue

Sue worked as a preschool teacher for over a decade prior to coming to Manzanita Bilingual School. As such she has a wealth of experience working with young children and explicit instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics. Additionally, Sue has a master's degree in psychology and worked in the mental health field for several decades as an advocate and counselor. Her background and expertise make her invaluable to Manzanita's program. She has been working with Manzanita Bilingual School for two years.
